In Loving Memory of Amy Navoney

1946 – 2025

Amy Navoney, age 79, of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August18th. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, veteran, and friend, she lived a life marked by faith, service, and unconditional love for her family.

Born in 1946 to Emmanuel and Theresa Fichtner, Amy spent her youth in Montana, leaving at age 18 to serve in the United States Navy. While in the Navy Amy met and married her loving husband John Navoney just prior to his deployment to Vietnam.

After marriage and discharge from the Navy, Amy moved to Pittsburgh where she worked as an operator for Bell Telephone company. Amy moved into other roles eventually retiring from Verizon in 2001 to become a full-time grandmother.

John and Amy shared decades of love and partnership raising three children-Cathie Meyers, Chris (Michelle) Navoney, and Kelly (Dave) Rosenwasser. Amy is also survived by 10 grandchildren who became the focus of her life and whom she was fiercely proud of: Logan, Liam, Lex and Locke, Gabriel and Elijah, and Ava, Abby, Lily and Ellie, as well as two nieces and five nephews.

A devout Catholic, Amy lived her faith with unwavering conviction. She was a familiar participant in Mass at St. Ferdinand's parish, where she found deep spiritual fulfillment and community.

Amy will be remembered for her quick wit, occasional off-color joke and love of family, including her many beloved dogs. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24th from 1-5 pm at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, PA 16066.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Grace Parish (St. Ferdinand Church), 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066 on Monday August 25th at 10am.

She will be laid to rest at Holy Savior Cemetery in Gibsonia.

In July 2013 Amy and I took a 2 week motorcoach trip to the National Parks across the USA. Here she is in Jackson, Wyoming checking in with her family. She was happy to travel back to Montana and reunite with a
old friend. Amy was a delight with the group, of course. Amy, your memory is a blessing.
