Amy Jane Niccum, 83, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:55 am, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1942, in Peru, Indiana, to Allie B. and Mildred (Smith) Wilson.
Amy was a 1960 graduate of Noble Township High School. She married Michael Niccum Sr. on June 9, 1961 at the Wabash Christian Church; he died September 19, 2021. Amy worked for General Tire, and Denney Motor Sales retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ, the Bachelor Creek Widows Group, Woman's Clubhouse and also two euchre groups. Amy enjoyed reading, baking, growing roses, watching Fox News, playing euchre, and mowing.
She is survived by three children; Michael (Jean) Niccum, Jr. of Lithia, Florida, Michele (Pat) Meredith and Matthew (Pacia Perry) Niccum both of Wabash, daughter-in-law, Becky (Rick Smith) Niccum of Wabash, seven grandchildren; James Niccum of Jacksonville, Florida, Melissa (Tyler) Gifford of Wabash, Adam (Miranda) Niccum of Riverview, Florida, Remington Niccum of Lithia, Brycen (Emily Cole) Niccum of Wabash, Macy (Jacob Marlow) Niccum of Wabash, Kaden (Meredith Haupert) Meredith of Peru, Indiana, and Hope Niccum of Wabash, great-grandson, Hayden Niccum, and siblings, George (Carol) Wilson of Peru, Terry Hann of Wabash, Allie Ray (Cindy) Wilson of Peru, and Lana Webb of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother Wilma Lou (Templin) Wilson, husband Michael Niccum Sr, son, Mark Niccum, and two sisters, Nancy Gipson and Shirley Halterman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash with Joel Cogdell officiating. Burial will be in Peoria Cemetery, Peru. Friends may call 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are L.I.F.E. Center or Bachelor Creek Mission Fund.
