Amy Turner Obituary

Mrs. Amy Beth Turner, 60, of Independence, a cherished educator, devoted family member, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood with her family by her side. She was born on July 22, 1965, in Cincinnati, and was known for her unwavering commitment to teaching, faith and a deep love for her family.

Amy dedicated many years of her life to shaping young minds at Ryland Heights and Kenton Elementary schools, where her passion for education profoundly impacted countless students. She worked closely with the prayer team and children’s ministries at Florence Christian Church.

Above all, Amy was a family-oriented woman who treasured time spent with her loved ones. She was a beloved wife to Gerald Turner and a nurturing mother to her children: Prudence Vulhop (Bret), Chloe Turner-Meservy (Cody), Caitlin Turner (Wyatt), and Noah Turner (Meagan). Her loving spirit extended to her grandchildren, Harrison and Wendell, who brought her immense joy and happiness.

Amy is also survived by her caring mother, Diane Dixon Dietriech; a supportive brother, Kevin Dietriech (Robin); and a loyal sister, Jennifer Meyer (Steve). Her family will remember her fondly as a source of guidance, strength and compassion.

She is preceded in death by her father, Don Dietriech, along with her beloved grandparents, who played significant roles in her life. She also was welcomed by brother-in-law James Turner and Jimmie and Alice Turner, in-laws. She came to peace with her situation because of her love for the Lord and knowing His love for her.

A visitation to honor Amy will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Florence Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located at 300 Main St, Florence, KY 41042. A funeral service will follow the next day on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location, concluding a heartwarming gathering to celebrate her life and legacy. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Amy Beth Turner will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. Her family kindly requests in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the children’s ministries at Florence Christian Church.
