Ana Maria (Garcia) Chapa, of Lytle TX, passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 83, after a 7 month journey with advanced Alzheimer's disease. Words offer no justice to describing Ana Maria Chapa. She was beautiful, inside and out, with an infectious laugh which could be heard across the room. She was devoted to her family, sacrificing her personal needs and interests to ensure she would be present for each and every one of them. She cherished her friends, many who remained in her life for nearly 70 years. She had a love for sweets; often leaving a trail of evidence. She was an excellent cook, and seamstress. For those of us fortunate enough to have known Ana Maria Chapa, we will forever be positively impacted by our interactions with her. Ana Maria Chapa is survived by her daughters; Annette Martinez, Paula Chapa Garcia (Alex), and Tricia Chapa; grandchildren, Matthew Martinez (Tracie), Crystan Garcia, Melissa Martinez, Miranda Thomas (Zach); great grandchildren Conner Martinez (Alexis), Camryn Martinez, Cadee Martinez (Brandon), Landynn Guzman, Logan Moreno, Paisley Martinez, Presley Thomas, Britaili Heredia, Elle Thomas, Matthew Martinez II, and Jarrett Mejorado; brothers, Jesse Garcia, Fernando Garcia, and Henry Juarez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Antonia Garcia; brothers, Ramon Garcia, Juan Garcia, and Guillermo Garcia; sisters, Paola Garcia and Emma Cuellar.
