Ana Maria Smith

Ana Maria Smith, 82, of Bevier, MO, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 17,

2026.

Ana was born on April 2, 1943, in Larimer, Colorado, the daughter of Marcello and Cleo Maez. She was united in marriage to Ronald Dewayne Smith on January 14,1960. Ana was a faithful member of the Gospel Center Church in Macon. Ana was a longtime resident of Bevier. Ana never met a stranger. Ana enjoyed her crossword puzzles, taking pictures, listening to Alan Jackson, watching butterflies and especially spending time with her family.

Ana is survived by three children, Carrie Carpenter and Ron of Callao, MO, Carol Buck of LaPlata, MO, and Ronda Richardson of Gibbs, MO and one Son in Law Gordon Strietenberger II of Madison Mo. 11 grandchildren Roni Jenkins (Tom), Gordon Stritenberger III, Charlie Carpenter ( Brandi) , Tabatha Myers (Sean) , Jeremiah Carpenter (Crystal), Joseph Myers (Maria), Stephen Carpenter(Jodie), Christopher Davis (Monica), Birdie Buck (Caysi), Dewayne Carlson (Aymara) and Tyler Carlson (Autumn). 33 Great grandchildren Noah, Blair, Emma, Charlie Joe, Ashton, Hannah, Connor, Ella, Xavier, Garrett, Xennia, Alleigh, Lucian, Acein, Ashylnn, Israel, Harper, Alexander James, Judah, Sparrow, Ariel, Timothy, Duke, Cash, Avery, Josephine, Christopher Jr, Archer, Ila, Zamira, Katlyn, Ashynn, and Emma. Three brothers, Danny and Joe Hernandez, Patrick Lopez and many other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald D. Smith, one daughter, Judy Streitenberger, one grandson, Thomas Streightenberger, and one son-in-law, Kevin Buck.

Memorial services will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Gospel Center Church in Macon with Rev. Elaine Allred officiating. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens north of Macon. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on

Sunday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Gospel Center Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.
