Anahid Karoyan

Anahid Karoyan, of Waldwick, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 72.
Anahid was full of life, lighting up any room she walked into. She could make friends with anyone and everyone, no matter where she was. An avid traveler having traveled almost everywhere; she particularly loved Aruba and looked forward to her yearly vacation there. Always thinking of others, she worked for many years as a nurse, the job was tough, and she worked a lot but nothing made her happier than caring for others who needed it the most. The most important role though was a mother and especially a grandmother; she loved her grandchildren dearly and always made sure they knew they were loved.
Predeceased by her father Bedros Kharmandarian. She is survived by her devoted children Paul and Paulette Karoyan. Devoted daughter of Alice Kharmandarian. Cherished grandmother of Dexter, Jacob, Lauren and Donatella. Dear sister of Naz Basmadjian, Sassy (Azad) Manoukian, Sonya Yeranossian, Sevana Kharmandarian, and Kevork Kharmandarian. Adored Aunt of 11 nieces and nephews and 6 grand-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcomed at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 461 Bergen Boulevard in Ridgefield, on Saturday, September 14, 2024 with a visiting from 9-10AM. Funeral Service will begin at 10AM at the church, with interment following at Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Avenue in Fairview.
