Anastacio Frank Chavaria Jr.

Our beloved Junior, born and raised in Bakersfield, California, returned home to be with the Lord at the age of 57. Junior attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School, where he developed his deep faith. Known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor, he brought joy to all who knew him.
Junior cherished his family, loved animals, and enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Holidays were especially dear to Junior, as he delighted in the family tradition of making enchiladas, a dish that brought back fond memories of his Grandma Katie.
Junior loved attending the PACE Center for seniors, where he enjoyed bingo, art, bowling, and movies. Known for his humor and social nature, he was popular with everyone, especially the ladies. He loved food, especially Big Macs and vanilla shakes. Junior deeply appreciated the dedication and support from the PACE staff, and he loved being part of their community and loved everyone there.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Perez-Chavaria and Anastasio Frank Chavaria Sr. ("Blackie"), his Grandma Katie Chavaria, sister Elizabeth Ann Carroll ("Billie"), and his wife, Elena Chavaria. He is survived by his sisters, Sadie Chavaria-Lopez and Jessica Chavaria; his children, Evelyn Chavaria and Anastacio Frank Chavaria III ("Frankie"); his grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM, with the Rosary at 6 PM, on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Greenlawn Mortuary on River Blvd. A Christian burial service will follow at 10 AM on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Green Lawn.
Junior's spirit will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
