Andee Fruin was born May 29, 1940, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and grew up on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, along with two brothers. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Chicago in 1964 and was married 30 years to Richard Fruin who passed away in 1997. Andee lived for many years in New Hampshire and had two daughters as well as 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild who she loved dearly. Andee had a lifelong passion for reading and enjoyed literature of all kinds. She also loved animals; especially her Springer Spaniel, Sweet Pea, who went on many adventures with her.
Growing up in Canada, Andee rode horses for many years and enjoyed competing in horse shows and other events and later introduced her two daughters to the horse world. She was a member of the League of Women Voters for many years. She was a member of St Thomas Episcopal Church in Dover, NH before relocating to Florida. Family meant everything to Andee and this was evident through her words and actions every day. She also loved music and spending time with her dear friend, Ron, who she met while living in Florida. She often talked about how blessed she was to have met her soul mate after being widowed for many years.
Andee will be greatly missed by her family and many friends- her presence is irreplaceable. Andee is survived by her loving children, Patricia (Paul) Fenton and Paula Smykil; her six grandchildren, Ryan, Connor (Lexy), Leah, Zachary, Keith and Aaron; great-grandchild, Rhett; her brothers, Kit (Ann) and Patrick (Patricia) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son in law, Christopher S Smykil. She had great love for all of them. She will be remembered and missed by all that knew her.
