Anderson Ortega

Anderson Ortega Jr., 95, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 11:00 am Saturday, August 3, 2024 with the funeral service and burial to follow at 11:00 am at The Chapel in Killeen Memorial Park and Cemetery. Andy was born December 10, 1928 to Pearl Ochoa and Anderson Ortega Sr. in Gatesville,Texas. He met the love of his life, Janie while they were both working in California. They were married August 08, 1946 and celebrated over 75 wonderful years together. They moved back home to Gatesville were they lived for 23 years and had three beautiful children. They moved to Killeen to pursue a job in construction. Throughout the years Andy built a grocery store, owned a dry wall company and owned a wrecking yard. He was a man of many visions. Andy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking barbecue and fish for all to enjoy. Andy is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Anderson, his wife, Janie ; siblings Emma, Georgia, and Lilly. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children Anderson Ortega III, Delia Pankey, and Anna Marie Hamilton, his grandchildren, Cathleen, Jeffery, Andrea, Jessica, Christopher, his great grandchildren, Alexandria and Leandria, Briandria, Josiah and Jackson, great-great grandchildren Jeremiah, Lila, Joseph, and Jacob.
