Andre' Sullivan "Todd" Clown, 61, of Dupree, made his journey Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Cheyenne River Health Center, Eagle Butte, due to a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. MDT Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in the Dupree Cemetery, Dupree, SD. Wake services will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the church with a procession from the 4-Mile at 4:00 p.m.

Todd was born to the late Vincent True Clown, Sr. and Nancy K. (Iron Bird) Clown at the old IHS, Eagle Butte. His maternal grandparents were Sullivan and Gertrude (Iron Lightning) Iron Bird, and his paternal grandparents were James "Tasunke Wikto" Clown and Anna (Red Bird) Clown.

Toddy grew up in Dupree and graduated from Dupree High School in 1983. During his high school days, he excelled in basketball and along with his basketball teammates took the Dupree Tigers to the regionals and are the 1982 regional basketball champs. Todd was the first native homecoming king. He went to college at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck ND where he played college basketball. In the summertime Todd and his buddies, cousins and friends would have some mean scrimmage games going on until dusk. In his younger years Todd loved to run or jog from the house to the back roads or to the 2 mile (Isabel Jct) and along by his side were his sisters, Inez and Michelle running and working out with him, always challenging and pushing each other. Todd also lifted weights to keep in shape. In later years Todd held various jobs like maintenance and security at Takini School, foot patrol in Dupree community, ranch hand with his brother-in-law, Huey White Wolf and other ranchers. Todd was also a fire fighter. He loved it when Michelle would make Grandma Mona's gabubu bread for him.

Todd eventually moved to Eagle Butte and in later years due to his health, he moved to the manor and there he made many friends. He liked to cruise around and attend bingo in Eagle Butte and Faith along with one of his besties like Eldora or Lena, whoever jumped in with him at the time, off they go to bingo in Faith or always parked someplace visiting with his friends. Todd loved each and every one of his grandchildren, especially Kohen Todd as he carries his name, and he always asked how Baby Nancy is doing.

Todd is survived by brothers: True V. Clown, Jr. and Bradley (Paulie) Clown; sisters: Inez Iron Bird, Michelle (Huey) Clown White Wolf and Trude Clown; daughters: Kristen (Kasto) Demery, Danayalita Szklarski, and Mikala Greene; aunt: Yvonne Kay Clown; and niece, Larissa White Wolf and children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent True Clown, Sr. and Nancy K. (Iron Bird) Clown; brothers: Ramon G. Clown, Sr., and Vance Ta Sunke Wito II; sisters: Priscilla (Clown) Hale and Deanna (Clown) Kerstiens; nieces: Alisha Clown, Jocelyn "Joey" Clown, and Dawn (Hale) Olvera; nephews, Fain Iron Bird; grandsons: Antonio Olvera and Wyatt Olvera; great grandsons: Vincent Edward Widow, Roman True Iron Bird, and Josiah Clown; sister-in-law, Wenelle (Black Lance-Veit) Clown; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and family members that left before him.

Todd was loved by all, and he will be missed very much.

We, the family, would like to give a special thank you to: Black Hill Dialysis Crew, the inpatient IHS nurses that took care of him and the ER and Ambulance Crew at IHS.

Please forgive us if we may have left anyone out during our time of sorrow.
