Andre Anthony Caruso ObituaryAndre A. Caruso, 77, of Tallmadge, Ohio passed away on October 5, 2025. Andre was born on September 20, 1948 at Martin's Ferry, Ohio. He grew up in Tiltonsville Ohio where he loved to play baseball. He went on to serve our country in the Vietnam War. Andre attended The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute and graduated with an Associate's Degree.
Andre married Mary Thornburg on February 11, 1972. He worked for Akron Public Schools and retired in 2014. He spent his retirement days watching sports, playing golf, fishing trips, playing poker, going to the casino, and vacationing at Hilton Head Island.
Andre is preceded in death by his parents Ralph Sr. and Margret (Bisesi) Caruso, Brother Ralph Jr Caruso, and Sister Anna (Dolly) Caruso. He is survived by his wife Mary, sons Scott, and Andrew (Sarah) Caruso, daughter Lisa (Bryan) Larocca, and sister Giovanna (Ed) Quinn, along with grandchildren, Joseph, Luke, Isaac, Ella, and Jack, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Mark Casenhiser, John Falatok, Steve Guban and Paul Casenhiser for their decades long friendship. Andre's family will remain forever grateful.
The family will receive family and friends at Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home 811 Grant Street, Akron Ohio Tuesday October 14, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held Wednesday October 15 at 10:00 in Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 300 East Tallmadge Avenue Akron Ohio 44310. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery,
Memorial contributions may be made in Andre's name to Blessed Trinity Church, 300 East Tallmadge Ave Akron Ohio 44310.
