Joseph P. Rogalski passed away November 21st, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Joe was born April 2nd, 1947. He grew up in Cleveland and Garfield Heights. He graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1965 as did his girlfriend, Nancy Birr. Spoiler alert, he and Nancy were married May 27th, 1967, and enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966 and he served for 4 years. He was stationed in Delaware and for 1 year in Thailand during the Vietnam War. During his time in the service, he made friendships that lasted his whole life. He was honorably discharged.

After Joe’s time in the Air Force, he and Nancy lived briefly in Parma and North Ridgeville before making a home in Streetsboro and then Stow while raising their two daughters and making many lifelong friends.

Joe enjoyed bowling and golfing with his friends. He had a love for cars that lasted his whole life – from helping his cousin Danny work on cars as teenagers to picking out a car for his granddaughter after he spent hours comparing and researching safety features, gas mileage, and every facet imaginable until he found just the right one.

During their lives together, Joe and Nancy enjoyed many phases of life – raising their daughters, many wonderful beach vacations, spending weekends at the camper, couples bowling leagues, and eventually becoming Florida “snowbirds” after retirement.

Joe always enjoyed walking and hiking at local parks. He was the smartest man his daughters knew. He was very funny and quick-witted – he always has a joke to make us laugh. Over the years, he loved all the family dogs and good humoredly tolerated the family cats he knew Nancy and his daughters loved.

He worked for Revco Drug and loved his work there. He worked there for 28 years and left as a director.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jospeh and Jenny, and his brothers, Philip and Bruce.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his devoted daughters, Alison Rogalski and Nicole (Bob) Hershberger; granddaughters Chantelle, Jordin (Tyler), Emily, and Marlo; great-grandchildren Olivia and Oliver. His sister, Linda (David) Slane and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mulberry Gardens and Crossroads Hospice for their compassion and care.

Cremation will take place with a private service for the family.
