Andre "Kevin" Modeste, 50, a loyal, devoted brother and long-time resident of Boston, Massachusetts departed to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 7, 2023. He was born to Andre and Kathleen Modeste in Boston, Massachusetts on January 1, 1973.
Kevin was able to operate in his purpose of helping others from an early age. Kevin possessed an unparallel gift for uniting souls from all walks of life. His ability to transcend barriers and forge meaningful relationships, regardless of circumstances, showcased remarkable empathy and kindness. Andre was known for celebrating the success others or offering a steady hand during challenges times, and his unwavering support for the community was a testament to his genuine character. Kevins heart drove others to see their truth and reflect on life's obstacles as challenges versus failure.
Kevin was a true renaissance soul, excelling in a diverse array of fields. His talents knew no bounds as he effortlessly navigated the worlds of sports, music, and art. His athleticism on the field was matched only by his creativity in the music studio and artistic flair on the canvas of life. Kevin was known in the community as a pillar of the south end. His dream was to one day play in the NBA, bridge generational gaps that disconnected inner city youth, so that others could achieve their goals and aspiration in life.
Beyond his remarkable capacity to foster connections, Kevin aspired to achieve worldwide success. Despite the challenges he encountered, his unwavering determination and resilience were testaments to his character. Through it all, he held fast to his faith, finding solace in the knowledge that God was by his side.
He was able to lead in every team capacity and soar to heights that we could only dream of as children. Family and Friendship were an integral part of his life, providing him with a strong foundation of love and support. He shared a special bond with his family and friends, cherishing the role of being a brother and a source of strength to those he held dear. During both moments of triumph and adversity, his family and friends stood by him, offering unwavering encouragement and companionship.
As we bid farewell to Andre Kevin Modeste, let us remember the radiant spirit who touched our lives with his kindness, talent, and unbreakable spirit. May his memory inspire us to embrace our passions, connect with one another and face life's challenges with grace. Andre has impacted many people and his encouraging-motivating spirit will live in our hearts forever. Kevin's beautiful mother Kathleen Modeste preceded him in death. He leaves his father, Andre Kenneth Modeste, daughter Alycia (Birk) Wozniak, son Devyn Modeste, brothers Anthony Modeste, Reynoldo Grant, sister, Andrea, granddaughter KyLahee Brown-Modeste, aunt Glenda Donaldson, cousin Avalon McDaniel and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends to celebrate his life.
