Gene Randle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DW Brooks Funeral Home on Jan. 5, 2026.
Gene Rodgers Randle was born on November 15, 1936, in Lockhart, Texas, to the late Lincoln and Arlene Erskine Randle, Sr. He entered eternal rest on the evening of January 2, 2026. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris Moore, and Fannie Mae Miller; four brothers, Freddie B. Randle, Charles L. Randle, Lincoln Randle, Jr., and Wilma (Opie) Randle; and his beloved daughter, Angie Randle. A proud graduate of Carver High School in Lockhart, Texas, Gene united with Daniel Chapel United Methodist Church in Tilmon, Texas, at an early age. He was known for his love of helping others and took immense pride in his career as a truck driver. Gene was a man of unwavering positivity-always kind in spirit and never known to complain. In his leisure time, Gene enjoyed watching Western movies, savoring his favorite Dr. Pepper, and relaxing in the company of friends. During his retirement years, he especially cherished spending time with his son, sharing meals at Rusty Rooster, Sonic, Buc-ee's, Dairy Queen, Smitty's Barbecue, and Lugo's Mexican Restaurant, as well as attending Luling High School Eagle football games. His son also treasured the time his father spent driving the golf cart at Starke Golf Course and singing at Friendship Baptist Church. During his lifetime, Gene was united in marriage to Lucille McClain and later to Lillie Redix Randle. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving sister, Mary Evelyn Randle Ward; one son, L. S. Spencer, Jr.; two daughters, Carol (A.C.) Lafond and Pamela Bedford (Daniel); along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. His nephews-Lamont Randle, Keith Randle, Steven Moore, Sr., and Chadwick Randle-provided him with tremendous love, care, and support throughout his life. Gene Rodgers Randle will be fondly remembered for his generous heart, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to all who knew and loved him.
