Obituary of Andrea Jean Bendorf
Andrea Jean (Branson) Bendorf, 32, of Divernon, IL, formerly of Carlinville, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Broadwell Township in Logan County, IL.
Andrea was born on March 19, 1992, in Centreville, IL, a daughter of James Robert Jr. and Sara (Smith) Branson. Andrea graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 2010. She attended Lewis and Clark Community College and CALC where she received her LPN certificate. She married Geoffrey Bendorf, on September 19, 2020 at the Anderson Mansion in Carlinville, IL.
Andrea was a well loved and respected LPN nurse. She started her caretaker journey at Carlinville Rehab and Health Care as a nurses aid then she worked in the kitchen before becoming a LPN. She was blessed to work at many places spreading her care to those who needed it most. Places like Heritage Nursing Home in Carlinville, Centennial Point Senior Living as the director of nursing, and the Sangamon County jail as a nurse, before her most current role as LPN nurse for Lincoln County Correctional Center in Lincoln, IL.
She had many passions in life and was interested in everything such as making different crafts and t-shirts. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping and mudding in her Jeep. More than anything else Andrea's biggest passion in life was taking care of others. That is shown through her dedicated work and the joy she spreads to those under her care.
Andrea loved her family and friends with all of her heart and will be deeply missed by many.
Andrea was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Robert Branson, Sr., grandmother, Sharon Branson, grandfather, David Smith, and aunt, Brittany Guyer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cross Church, Carlinville, IL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Cross Church, Carlinville.
Burial will follow in Chatham Cemetery, Chatham, IL.
