Andrea Diffin Obituary

Andrea was born on October 14, 1950, in Detroit, to the late Thomas and Anna Thomas. She lost her father at the early age of two months old and was later adopted by her beloved step-father Clement LaFreniere. Andrea received her diploma from Birch Run High School and also attended Olivet Art College. On February 18, 1967, she married the love of her life, Gary Diffin. Together they shared 58 years of marriage and raised three beautiful children. The couple resided on Ft. Myers Beach in Florida for 25 years. Most mornings Andrea enjoyed beach walks, and talking to the dolphins that would often swim beside her. While living in Florida she became a Christian, dedicating her life to Christ. After returning to Michigan Andrea became a member of the Burt Fellowship Church with her husband. She was a talented artist, seamstress, and gardener for much of her life – her greatest joy other than being a wife was being a mother and grandmother. Known for her free-spirited nature and unwavering love, Andrea will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Andrea is forever loved by her Husband, Gary Diffin; Children: Ingrid (Scott) Hourigan, Jason (Cecily) Diffin, and Roxann Blue Diffin; Grandchildren: Savannah Hourigan, Tucker Diffin, Zanna Diffin, Oswald Diffin, and Avery Blue Diffin; Siblings: Denise (Harold) Valley and Neal John LaFreniere; Step-sister, Susie Norling; Many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Andrea was preceded in death by her beloved Grandson, Jesse Hourigan; Parents, Thomas and Anna; Adopted Father, Clement LaFreniere.
