Francis "Diff" Diffin

DIFFIN, Francis "Diff" – a lifelong resident of Burt, age 82, died peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Bavarian Comfort Care surrounded by family. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Burial at Cook Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 3PM until 8PM and Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Burt Fellowship Church.
Diff was born August 16, 1942, in Saginaw, to the late Alen and Kathryn (Hollister) Diffin. He graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 1960, and married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Dunham, on August 19, 1961, just three days after his nineteenth birthday. In total, Diff and Sharon shared nearly 70 years together, 64 years in marriage. Diff was a hardworking, dedicated man who was a proud farmer his entire life, known among the community for running Diffin Farms in Burt. His love for farming was only rivaled by his love for his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he enjoyed taking to the county fair each year or to the local tractor shows. Diff was a friend to all and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He will be dearly missed. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Bavarian Comfort Care along with Chris at Harmony Cares Hospice for their compassion, professionalism, love, and care during Diff's final days.
Diff is forever remembered by: Wife, Sharon Diffin; Children: Chris (Vincent) DelosSantos, Greg Diffin, and Randy (Kelly) Diffin; Grandchildren: Jenny (Brad), Jason (Melissa), Kevin (Carissa), Justin, Kyle (Kaelii), Kelsey (Ashish), Courtney (John), Katie (Zach), Randy, Jr. (Emily), and Hannah (Jake); 20 Great Grandchildren: Niece and Nephew: Meghan Bonk and Ryan (Maria) Bonk; Father-in-law, Robert Bonk; Brothers-in-law: Rick (Margaret) Bonk and Brad (Cindy) Bonk; Special Friends: Lois (Wayne) Benkert, Ron Shook; Beloved Caretaker, Teresa Bell. Diff was preceded in death by: Parents, Alen and Kathryn; Mother-in-law, Doris Bonk; Many beloved friends.
