DIFFIN, Calvin – of Clio, formerly of Owosso, age 88, died Friday, August 8, 2025, at Maple Woods Manor. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service. Honoring his wishes, cremation will follow.

Calvin was born December 1, 1936, in Owosso, to the late Clayton and Hazel (Curler) Diffin. He attended Owosso High School and proudly retired from General Motors after over 30 years of employment. Calvin married his beloved wife, Barbara Dale, on May 19, 2017, and together they created a beautiful life. He was the former state archery champion and enjoyed participating in professional archery competitions. Calvin found solace in bow hunting and fishing, and he liked to collect guns. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed keeping up with the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers, and during his younger years he liked to watch NASCAR and attend the local races at the Auto City Speedway. Calvin was an incredible man who can never be replaced, and he will be dearly missed by those who knew him. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Maple Woods Manor for their compassionate care during his final days.

Calvin is forever remembered by: Children: Kim (Luann) Diffin, Kelly (Tom) Ball, Tina (Doug) Gray, Tammy (Rod) Leff, Tonya (Tony) Martinez, Virginia (Ron) Byers, Larry (Michelle) Cadle, Cindy (Gregg) Pease, Dale (Dawn) Cadle, and Jeramie (Sandy) Cadle; Many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Calvin was preceded in death by: Grandson, Eddie Barlow; Parents, Clayton and Hazel; 7 Sisters, 5 Brothers; Stepchildren: Bobby Sloan and Valerie Cadle.
