Simply Cremation - Green BayAndrea Gayle Lear-Eis, 84, Green Bay WI, passed away peacefully in her home on February 16, 2026. She was born on March 12, 1941, in Hulbert, Michigan, to Edward and Loretta Matelski.
Andrea was a gifted artist, and had been offered a scholarship to art school, a path she chose to forgo to raise her children, a decision she said, “she never regretted.” She instead created costumes for Halloween, carvings out of scrap wood, and later tattoos for the family she loved so much. Andrea was a true nature lover, spending many days on her deck enjoying the sunshine watching the birds and wildlife with her beloved dogs close by.
She was a beacon through our darkest times, a sanctuary where her family could find solace, support, unwavering love and even some good advice. To know Andrea was not only to love her, but to be loved by her. Countless people called her 'Ma,' a name she wore with pride and cherished deeply.
Andrea leaves behind a family who loves and will miss her greatly. Her husband and companion for over 40 years Robert Eis, her sons Tim, Vance, Tige (Jessica) Lear, daughter Vicky Leider, her seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Andrea was preceded in death by the father of her children Chester Lear, her parents, a brother Roger, a sister Cheryl, a grandson Paul, a great-grandchild Preston Leider and most recently her eldest daughter Debra Lear-Schweitzer.
There will be a gathering in her honor on March 22, 2026, from 12-3pm at Howard Village Hall, 2456 Glendale Ave.
