It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Andrea Nelson on August 21, 2024, at the age of 20. Andrea was a beautiful, artistic, and loving soul who touched the lives of everyone she met.
She was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her mother brought her and her sisters to the US, where she lived in Waco for a time before eventually moving to Austin. Of all the places she called home, Austin held a special place in her heart, along with the many people she met and loved there.
Andrea dreamed of becoming an art teacher, sharing her passion and talent with the community. She was known for her independence, strong will, and unique ability to find beauty in the smallest details. Her love for art was only surpassed by the deep love she had for her family, especially her son Josiah, who was the light of her life. Andrea cherished every moment spent with her sisters, husband, and friends, whether through spontaneous adventures or quiet moments at home.
Andrea leaves behind her beloved son, Josiah; her husband, Juan; her twin sister, Risa; and her older sister, Mariana. Though her time with us was far too short, the profound impact she made on our lives will forever remain in our hearts.
