Andrea Maureen Newell

Andrea Maureen Newell, born August 30, 1965 to parents Thaddeus Brown and Pearl Miller on the island of Jamaica. Being of humble beginnings, Andrea graduated high school and went onto achieving certification at a local trade school where she studied sewing and dress making. She went on to become a seamstress and worked various jobs in her early 20s to provide for her family.
In the year 1995 at the age of 30, Andrea came to America for a better life. She almost immediately started looking for a job and also a Church home in 1996. She started working at Kendal Crosslands Communities in the field of nursing, which she had been for the past 28 years and soon after found St. Paul's Baptist Church, where she has been an active member and shared a roll on the usher board. Andrea loved working, she also held a second job at United Postal Service. She always remained busy and kept God first in all she did. When she wasn't working, she was spending time with family.
She also enjoyed active participation in helping others in good causes and charities. Home life included time with family especially her grandchildren, decorating and tending to her garden. She loved celebrating birthdays and holidays. Her favorite was Christmas. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling to see family. Andrea spoke of plans to retire soon and travel the world with family but unexpectedly she was diagnosed with cancer on January 12, 2024 and succumbed to the symptoms there after. She passed away on March 30, 2024 in hospice care at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA.
Andrea is survived by her mother Pearl Miller, her three children, Taneesha, Tomayo and Kimberlee; two stepchildren Omar and Kenniel; four grandchildren, Kaydee, Kaden, Audrey and Kaleb; nine siblings Kay Desmond, Doreen, Michael, Philip, Bartley, David, Donna, and Dalton numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins, and dear friends.
