Andrekia Jackson age 49, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Rapides Hospital in Alexandria, LA.
Funeral Mass for Andrekia Latrelle Jackson will begin at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Our lady of Sorrow Church in Moreauville, LA, with Fr. Joshua Burch officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery #1 in Moreauville, LA.
Visitation will be starting at 1:30PM until time of Mass, A rosary will be recited at 2:45PM, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Moreauville, LA.
Andrekia worked at the Early Childhood Development Center for a while till minor health issues. She then began her career in education as a substitute teacher at Plaucheville Elementary and Avoyelles High School, she then later became certified as a Paraprofessional, and has been employed at Avoyelles High School as Paraprofessional for 9 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, A'Vrieana "Avie" Jackson of Moreauville, LA; mother, Elodie Marietta Jackson of Moreauville, LA; father, Ervin Alexander (Penie) of Alexandria, LA; sisters, Nedrekia "Neekie" Jackson-Mose (Jermaine) of Marksville, LA and Dr. Cynthia McZeal of Suffolk, VA; brother, Ervin Alexander Jr. of Inglewood, CA; uncles, Roscoe "Cokey" Jackson (Kathy) of Moreauville, LA and John Alexander of Simmesport, LA; god-daughter and niece, Naja Mose of Marksville, LA; god-son, Spertrell Pilot Jr. of Houma, LA; god-sister and cousin, Kathie Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA; cousin, LaWanna Jackson of Alexandria, LA; dear friends like sisters, Jovanna Webb-Pilot of Houma, LA, Angela Quarles of Venus, TX, and Twanna Tyler of Mansura, LA; and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Genevieve Jackson; grandfather, Isreal Jackson Sr.; uncle, Isreal Jackson Jr.; great-grandmother, Elodie Benjamin-Baker; great-grandfather, Harrison Baker; and cousin, Shuntel Coco.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville, LA.
