Andrew Bair

Andrew Calvin "Andy" Bair, 64, of the Turner Road, Morrisonville, died unexpectedly, Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Schenectady.
He was born in Plattsburgh, April 15, 1960, the son of Calvin and Patricia (Chevalier) Bair. Andy grew up on Runway Drive in Plattsburgh and graduated from Peru High School in 1978.
He married Theresa Marcotte, July 15, 1978 in St. Augustine's Church in Peru. She predeceased him November 23, 2009.
Andy was a lifelong truck driver. For much of his career he was an owner operator under the title B & B Trucking. Andy's blue Mack truck was known far and wide for hauling his decorated trailer that read "Champlain Valley McIntosh Apples." Andy hauled apples for many years, for several local orchards.
He later drove for Esposito & Sons, and lastly, Price Chopper.
In his spare time, he enjoyed caring for his lawn and flower gardens.
Left to cherish the memory of Andy are, his children and their spouses, Kevin and Mechelle Bair, and Megan and Joe Beam; grandchildren, Aaron and Adam Griffith, Starr Beam, and special grandson, Tucker Beam; one great-granddaughter, Stella Murray; companion, Deb Howard; siblings, Scott (Penny), Cathy, Kim (Steve), Karen, Kristine, and Brenda; his in-laws on the Marcotte side and their families; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and spouse, he was predeceased by brother-in-law, Harry Landry; and his faithful trucking canine companion, Roxie.
Calling hours will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 2 to 4 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A prayer will be offered at 4 PM in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Sullivan. Burial will be in the spring in the Peasleeville Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
