Andrew Scot Birmingham

Andrew Scot Birmingham, 28, entered into rest on Saturday, September 28, 2024. 

Andrew was born on March 4, 1996, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and he spent his formative years in the communities of Byron and Warner Robins. A proud graduate of Warner Robins High School in 2014, Andrew distinguished himself as a dedicated member of the Junior ROTC, where he excelled as the squad leader of the arm drill team. 

Following high school, Andrew answered the call of duty and enlisted in the United States Navy. Over six years of honorable service, he rose to the rank of Petty Officer Second Class, specializing in damage control and deck repair, while proudly contributing to the operations of three different aircraft carriers. 

After his military career, Andrew transitioned into civilian life, finding fulfillment in roles at Kumho Tires, Southway Crane, and most recently, Hiab, where he maintained cranes and forklifts. His coworkers admired him not just for his skills, but for his infectious enthusiasm and warm spirit. 

Andrew was a true country boy at heart, relishing every moment spent outdoors. He loved riding ATVs, mud bogging, hunting, fishing, and sharing tales of adventure with friends and family. His larger-than-life personality was matched only by his kindness, loyalty, and ability to connect with or help others in need. Above all, Andrew cherished his children and family and the memories they made. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Andrew was preceded in death by his mother, Holly Anne Kennedy Birmingham, and grandmother, Carol Hooks. 

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Emily Rose Birmingham of San Diego, California and Liam Scot Birmingham of Gray, Georgia; father and stepmother, Shane and Aimee Birmingham; siblings, Samantha Birmingham Hulse (Douglas) of Minot, North Dakota, Ayden Duncan Birmingham of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Courtney Lynn Birmingham of Macon, Georgia; grandfather, Glynn Hooks of Byron, Georgia, along with many other loving family members and friends. 

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
