Andrew "Andy" C. Brand, 44, of New Holstein, passed away on January 16, 2024 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Andy was born October 20, 1979, in Chilton, to Dennis Brand and the late Caroline (Binversie) Brand. Andy grew up in St. Anna. in a small tight knit community making many friends in childhood and carrying those friendships into his adult life. He enjoyed BMX biking and skateboarding in his youth. He was employed at Miesfeld's Triangle Market and Land O' Lakes in the sanitation department. Later on he was employed at Metal Art of Wisconsin as a metal fabricator, which allowed him to explore his creative side.
Andy was a lover of all music, especially hard rock and metal. Like his father Andy enjoyed playing guitar. Andy was an avid outdoorsman and was happy spending his free time camping, hiking, and fishing on the water or ice. He took many camping trips to Door County and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. His knowledge of the local lakes and rivers was incredible. Those places brought him so much joy. Andy had the trip of a lifetime in 2018, when he traveled to Iceland.
Andy was a rather introverted person but never missed an opportunity to tell a joke and have a good laugh. He was a light hearted fellow with a huge heart. He cared very much for all his family and friends.
In addition to his father Dennis, Andy is survived by his children, Logan Brand and Ariah Brand; their mother, Kimberly Brand, all of Forest Junction; his sisters; Angela Brand (Tom Dannhausen), Baileys Harbor and Amy (Quinn) Madigan, New Holstein and his long-time companion, Amy Lundberg, Manitowoc. He is further survived by nieces, Caitlin Tuczynski, McKenna Madigan and Paige Howard. Nephews Owen Dannhausen, Aiden Madigan and Vincent Ehlert, and many other relatives and close friends.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother Caroline.
In accordance with his wishes, Andy will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held in May.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the New Holstein First Responders, the New Holstein Police Department, the staff of ThedaCare and University of Wisconsin Organ and Tissue Donation.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Angela Brand: Care of Meiselwitz - Vollstedt - DeTroye Funeral Home 815 6th St, Kiel, WI 53042
