Andrew Bullions Obituary

Andrew C. Bullions, III of Pelzer, SC, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family August 20, 2025. He was born June 15, 1942 to Andrew and Marjorie Bullions. He was preceded in death by his sister Jean (Bullions) Long and Regina Bullions, his beloved wife of 57 years.

He grew up on a farm in rural western Pennsylvania milking cows before leaving for school in the mornings. The joys of his youth were working the fields of the farm and hunting and fishing in the countryside surrounding the farm.

He attended Grove City College where he met Regina. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy, where he served on active duty in the Pacific during the Vietnam Conflict. While stationed in Hawaii, he and Regina had two sons, Scott and Todd. He was discharged from active duty as a Navy Lieutenant in 1972 and retired from the Navy Reserve as a Commander in 2002. Soon after leaving Pearl Harbor, he was employed by Michelin Tire moving his family to France for nine months before relocating to his residence of over 50 years in Possum Kingdom, South Carolina. Following a long career in industrial controls, he served as a Methodist Lay Pastor for more than ten years starting in the late 1990s.

In addition to being a husband, father, brother, and grandfather, he served his community in many capacities. He was a member of Latimer Memorial United Methodist Church in Belton where he served in numerous capacities from teaching Sunday School to serving on numerous boards and committees. In addition to his service at Latimer he was also active in the Belton Post of the American Legion where among other responsibilities he served a term as the Post Commander. He also served as a Hospice volunteer and a member of the Belton Veterans Park Committee. He was a friend to everyone and never expected anything in return for his generosity.

Despite these numerous commitments and responsibilities, he always had time for his greatest pastime which was supporting Regina's passion for showing horses as her facilities coordinator, transportation manager, pit crew, and biggest cheerleader.

He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whether it be ballgames, recitals, school events, or fiddling with tractors. In recent years he reconnected with Edith (Beikert) Moore, a friend from high school and church in Pennsylvania. They married on June 15, 2024.

He is survived by his sister Roberta (Bullions) Vaudo, wife Edith (Beikart) Bullions, two sons Scott and Todd (Hillary) Bullions, and four grandchildren: Raymond, Aaron, Wilson, and Alice Bullions.

He will be buried alongside Regina at Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Sarver, Pennsylvania.

The family wishes to extend thanks to Rainey Hospice House and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
