Keith A. Farnham, 87, of Fairview, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, to the late Frank and Louisa (White) Farnham on July 30, 1938.

Keith attended Milford Mill High School in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating in 1956. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Grove City College in 1961 and continued his academic journey at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where he obtained a Master's Degree.

Keith's professional career began while he was still pursuing his Master's Degree, joining IBM in 1962. He worked in programming support in Endicott, New York, working with physicists and engineers to enhance equipment and solve various technical challenges. In 1972, he returned to the Erie area, where he held engineering positions before joining Zurn Industries in 1980. There, he primarily focused on computer systems and remained with the company until 1999.

After a successful and fulfilling career in engineering, Keith retired in 2000. He dedicated many years to helping others through his involvement with S.C.O.R.E., a group that supported small businesses in the Erie area. He had a lifelong passion for tennis, participating in numerous leagues, and placed a strong emphasis on personal health where he enjoyed biking, walking with his wife, and working out in his home gym.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth A. Hancock, and his brother, Paul R. Farnham.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Laura (Culbertson) Farnham, and their three children: Jay A. Farnham (Kathleen), R. Robert Farnham (Beth), and Paula B. Dobos (Jeff). He is also survived by his sister, Martha L. Wason, and two grandchildren, Laura Farnham and Daniel Farnham as well as many nieces and nephews.

I fondly remember Keith on the tennis court. (Don't hit the ball near him, because he'll shoot back a winner!) After tennis Keith would always come up to me and speak so kindly about his son, Jay who used to work with my husband and myself. He was so proud of him! What a wonderful father. He will be sadly missed. God bless you all.
