ANDREW M. "DREW" CHEVALIER (Anishinaabe Wininii Siban) Age 32 • Ashland, Wisconsin • Formerly of Red Cliff Andrew M. "Drew" Chevalier (Anishinaabe Wininii Siban), age 32, of Ashland, Wisconsin, formerly of Red Cliff, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2025.
He was born on January 31, 1993, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Maurice "Reese" Chevalier and Chrissy Williams (Gordon), and was a proud member of the Eagle Clan.
Drew spent his earliest years in Chicago, Illinois, and later moved with his family to Red Cliff in the early 2000s. He loved his three children dearly and cherished every moment he spent with them.
In his younger years, Drew loved playing sports-especially basketball and baseball. He was known as the "life of the party," always bringing laughter wherever he went. Drew had a bright and social spirit; he wanted to be friends with the world and shared his humor and kindness with everyone he met.
Drew is survived by his beloved children Hazel May, Deja Moon, and Andrew Chevalier Jr.; his father Maurice Chevalier (Anasile); brothers Anthony Colon' (Ana), Joseph "Jo Jo Chevalier and Maurice Chevalier Jr.; sisters Erica Chevalier, Shanelle Chavalier, Amanda Nicole; "Nana" Cathy Gordon; his significant other Kim Castro; grandmother Beatrice Chevalier; uncle ET and auntie Girlei; daughters' mother Demi Martin Goodwin; uncle Scott Gordon; cousins Joshua (Hayley) and Cassandra Gordon; aunt Trish Butterfield; nieces AmaiYah, Sophie, Maddy Colon, Lydia, and Camilla Chevalier. He is also survived by many special friends, including Phillip "PJ" Martin, Justin Boyd, Trei Theune, Derrick Crozier, and Rusty DeFoe, along with numerous cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death and will be greeted by his beloved mother Chrissy Williams (Gordon), and the one who started it all-his great-grandmother Mae Chevalier. He also joins his dear friends Matthew Bresette and Joseph Haskins.
A fire has been lit, and a Traditional Service will be held at the Leo LaFernier Cultural Center in Red Cliff, Wisconsin, on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM. The funeral will take place the following day, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at the same location. Brian Goodwin, grandfather of Drew's daughter, will facilitate the ceremony.
