Andrew DeJong Obituary
Andrew was a hard worker who took pride in everything he did. He enjoyed video games and cherished the simple comforts of life, especially spending time with his beloved dog, Stevie. Andrew never shied away from a spirited conversation and was well known for his passion for politics, proudly expressing his strong support for traditional American values. Above all else, he deeply loved his family, with a special place in his heart for his nieces, who brought him great joy.
He is survived by his mother, Melissa Wirtz; his brothers, Jacob DeJong and Hunter Harralson; his nieces, Drew Olivia DeJong and Penelope James DeJong; his aunt, Carrie (Shawn) Bath; his uncle, Gary (Kellie) Wirtz; a special friend and neighbor who was like a second mother to him, Gail Medlin; grandmother Brinda Reynolds, and numerous cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Marsha Wirtz.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Meadors Funeral Home Republic.

Andy, you were always such a bright light when I saw you. You had Hope, you had ambition and always loved your grandparents and they loved you so much. I am sad you are no longer on this earth. You will be such a wonderful asset to Heaven.
