Andrew P. Gallant 47, of China, Maine passed away on July 26, 2025, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine with his loving family by his side.

Andrew was born in Augusta, Maine on December 4, 1977, to the parents of Elaine C. Hanson and Jeffrey P. Gallant. Andrew graduated from Cony High School in 1996. Andrew was known for his quick laugh and undeniable charm. Andrew found joy in being active and never let health setbacks keep him from doing what he enjoyed, some of which included skiing, ice hockey and baseball.

Andrew spent his life working in the service industry. He was not only a hardworking, caring, and loving man. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, and grandson. He had a special way with people and touched many lives. Anyone who was lucky enough to be loved by Andy, knew he loved them unconditionally. He had a special bond with brother Brian and sister Diana. When his niece Sawyer was born, she stole his heart.

Andrew was deeply devoted to his family. Anyone who had the pleasure of being part of his life should consider themselves the lucky ones.

Andrew is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Joyce and Carlton Cote, and paternal grandfather John Gallant.

Andrew is survived by his mother and stepfather Elaine and John Hanson. Father Jeff Gallant and wife Sharon. His paternal grandmother Jackie Gallant. Brother Brian Gallant, sister Diana Williams and husband Derek and his beautiful niece Sawyer. We cannot leave out his four-legged best friend Lucy. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on August 24, 2025, at Governor Hill Mansion from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Located on 136 State Street, Augusta, Maine. A private burial will be held at later date.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to our little warrior Mason Frederick fighting congenital health challenges. Mason is Andrew's cousin, and his story can be found in the link below. Our family graciously appreciate any help we can pass along to the Frederick family. Please click here.
