Andrew (Andy) Hakola passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024, surrounded by his children. Born on May 22, 1970, Andy lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his country and his family.
A proud veteran, Andy served honorably in the United States Army, where he demonstrated unwavering commitment and bravery. His service to his country was a testament to his strong sense of duty and patriotism.
Andy's childhood was filled with fond memories of playing hockey, a sport he loved deeply. His passion for the game was evident in the way he played, always with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit that earned him the admiration of his peers. This went on to inspire his love for professional hockey, as he was an avid Boston Bruins fan.
Known affectionately as the life of the party, Andy had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His infectious smile and charismatic personality made every gathering brighter and more memorable. Whether it was a family celebration or a casual get-together with friends, Andy's presence was always felt and cherished.
Andy is survived by his beloved daughter, Ashetin Soleimani-Meigooni, her husband, John, and his son Andrew Joseph Hakola who will carry on his father's legacy. He was a devoted father who took immense pride in his family, offering unwavering support and love.
Andy's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family will be accepting friends from 11 am to 1pm, Friday, June 28, 2024, at Lakes Funeral Home. Burial will military honors will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com

You will be missed hack, oh the good times we had.you Will never be forgotten Always making me laugh and others the life of the party. I wish we could´ve met up again and talked about old times. But here we are. You´re in a better place bud. But we´ll see each other again. Until then.
