Andrew Roy Kemp, 34, of Middleborough, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Born July 31,1990 in Boston, Andrew was the husband of Valentina (Cipolla) Kemp; loving daddy to Alena Rose and Sabrina Lily Kemp; cherished son of Alan R. Kemp and Angela K. (Marella) Kemp; brother of John A. Kemp and his wife Christina, Jason A. Kemp and his wife Leah, and Peter R. Kemp and his wife Jill; Grandson of Barbara Kemp; son-in-law of Joseph and Lorretta Cipolla; brother-in-law of Michael Cipolla and his wife Mandi and Matthew Cipolla; uncle of Amelia and Gryffin Cipolla, John, Jr., Gianna, Jason Jr., Henry, Madelynn, Bentley, and Paisley Kemp. He was the grandson of the late Alfred Roy Kemp, John Marella and Assunta Marella.
Andrew was raised in Middleborough, and as a young child he attended The Boston School for the Deaf, the Learning Center in Randolph. He continued his education with the READS Collaborative in Middleborough and graduated from the EDCO program at Newton-North High School. Andrew went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, where he won the heart of the love of his life and best friend, Valentina.
Andrew was an assistant teacher of the Deaf within the READS Collaborative and was currently working at Norton High School.
Andy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, the beach, hiking, fishing, mountain bike riding, snowboarding, and playing with his dogs. Andrew was a lifelong fan of all Boston sports teams and loved to travel.
His brothers will fondly remember growing up on Benson Street, spending endless hours outside riding bikes, playing baseball, swimming, and playing in the woods. In a household of four boys – wrestling his brothers was also a frequent occurrence. His older brothers stopped instigating situations once Andy learned Jiu-Jitsu mostly.
But life has a funny way of balancing things out. After a boyhood of rough-and-tumble chaos, Andrew found himself in a household of girls – trading wrestling matches for play makeup and play dress up. Andrew loved every second of it. At the heart of it all was Valentina, his soulmate and best friend. He was her greatest supporter and the steady guide for both of them as they navigated life together. Together, they built a beautiful family, and he was the fun, loving girl dad to their beloved Alena and Sabrina.
Andrew was not just a family man – he was a loyal friend, a man who knew how to make every moment count. Whether it was an adventurous snowboarding or golf trip, a spontaneous hangout, or sharing a laugh over an inside joke, Andrew had a knack for bringing people together. His stories were legendary, each one filled with humor, warmth, and that signature spark that made his company unforgettable. His friends will remember the countless moments they shared – adventures that seemed to last a lifetime, laughs that echoed through the years, and the kind of bond that only comes from true friendship. Andrew's friendship was a treasure and his ability to connect with others will leave an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Husband, Daddy, Son, Grandson, Brother, Godfather, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew, Colleague and loyal Friend to many – Andrew was so loved by all the people whose lives he touched and will be so greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Friday, March 28th from 12:00PM-4:00PM with a prayer service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at a later date at the South Middleboro Cemetery.
