It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished son, Andrew Ryan Lach.Andy was born in Livermore, CA to Alyce and Mike Lach. He was the youngest of three children. In 1977, the family moved to Irvine, CA where they still reside. He graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1993 and attended both Orange Coast College and Northern Arizona University. At an early age, Andy was always adventurous and wanted to try new things. As a youngster, he was an excellent swimmer, played Freshman football in high school and started to play golf. He played regularly with his dad and friends for many years until a knee injury sidelined him. Although he did not play baseball beyond Little League, he loved baseball and followed the Angels and MLB regularly. For a time, he even had season tickets for the Angels. He loved to go snowboarding and in recent years camping out at the ocean with friends. Andy was an excellent cook. He was also a huge Jimmy Buffet fan and attended many concerts.Andy loved to be busy and around people and worked in the restaurant business his entire life. He started as a waiter with Olive Garden and worked his way up to Manager. He was also a manager at Islands, Mimi's Caf‚ and most recently, Applebee's. He rarely missed work and often worked long hours into the night. He died in his sleep of natural causes. He is survived by his parents and older brother, Danny.
