LAVACS, Andrew "Andy" – of Columbiaville, age 87, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 1 PM; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Cremation will take place following the Funeral. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Flint Memorial Park on a later date. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of service on Friday.

Andrew was born on April 30, 1938, son of the late Andrew and Rose (Simon) Lavacs. He was a hard worker, retiring from GM as a welder. He had a home on Holloway Reservoir that he cherished, especially during the 4th of July when they would do wonderful displays of fireworks. He was also a huge classic car enthusiast. Andy attended and ushered at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville. He will long be remembered for his great sense of humor, dedicated friendship and his helpfulness. Andrew loved his family and they will miss him deeply.

Andrew is survived by sister, Ramona Andrews; sister-in-law, Fran Lavacs; several loving nieces and nephews; many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Paul Lavacs; brother-in-law, Charles "Andy" Andrews.
