Andrew Jonathan Lavagnino
November 3rd, 1995-October 15th, 2024
The world became a more joyful place when Andrew Jonathan Lavagnino was born alongside
his twin sister Megan on November 3rd, 1995 in Hollister, California.
Andrew loved nature and hiking, especially with his best buddy, his dog Maverick. Health and
physical fitness were important to Andrew, and he enjoyed being active. Andrew was very
involved in community sports. His love of basketball began at a young age as a player, then
continued on when he became a youth referee and coach. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas
Mavericks. After sampling a few careers, Andrew followed in his parents' footsteps and found
joy in the restaurant industry, where he served kindness alongside food to many people from all
over the world in Leavenworth, Washington. In addition to serving good food, Andrew loved
eating good food. You knew what you made was truly delicious if Andrew told you it was "hella
good."
Andrew is survived by his parents Jack and Melissa Lavagnino; his twin sister Megan
Lavagnino; his sister Jennifer Lavagnino; his grandparents, Marilyn and Joe Harris, Sue Pagano
and Scott McDonald, and Jack and Pam Shoemaker; his great-grandmother Marjorie Pagano;
his aunts Mandi Harris and Maura Schomus; his uncles Matt Lavagnino, Nick Mattox, Peter
Pagano, Tom Pagano, and Mark Shoemaker; his cousins Matteo Lavagnino, Gabe Mattox, Amy
Pagano, Beth Pagano, A.J. Schomus, Anna Schomus, Austin Shoemaker, and Avery
Shoemaker; the friends he loved; his beloved dog Maverick; and many others whose days were
brightened by his smile and gracious spirit.
Andrew will live on in the music he loved, the kindness he showed, and the family and friends
who cherish him. Thank you, Andrew, for making our lives hella good. In the words of one of
your favorite artists, Noah Kahan, "We're just glad you could visit."
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Grace City
Chapel, located at 277 Melody Lane, Wenatchee, Washington. If anyone wishes to, they are
welcome to wear something that reminds them of Andrew to the service. In lieu of flowers or
gifts, the family encourages donations to establish the "Andrew J. Lavagnino Scholarship of
Kindness" at the Community Foundation of North Central Washington. Checks can be made
payable to CFNCW/Andrew Lavagnino Scholarship and mailed to CFNCW, 9 S Wenatchee
Ave., Wenatchee WA 98801.
