Andrew Dayton Morris, age 93, of Uniontown passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on March 7, 2026. He started working for Babcock & Wilcox at 18, as a welder, and retired in 1986, as a supervisor.
He was described as a man who didn’t give up easily. He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for his family. His biscuits and gravy would bring in the crowds. Anyone who met him or knew him loved him!
Andrew was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Dolores; parents, Leona and Emmitt; brothers, Larry and Kenneth; sisters, Bonnie, Darlene, and Kim; daughter, Trisha Anderson; and granddaughter, Tara Anderson.
He is survived by his children, David (Valerie), Roger (Sue), Brenda (Jeff), Susan (Stephen), and Donald (Linda); his dearly loved sister, Sherrie Johnson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by longtime companion, Ella Bess, her children, and grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, Uniontown, where the service will follow immediately.. Pastor Stephen Below will officiate. Interment will take place at Woods Cemetery, Uniontown.
Dad—known lovingly to many as “Poppy”—will never be forgotten. His legacy will live on through the family he loved so dearly.
