Carol Jo Climes passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on February 18, 1955, in Canton, Ohio, she was a proud graduate of Southeast High School Portage County, Class of 1974.
Carol was a devoted member of the Byzantine Catholic Church, carrying her faith with humility and sincerity. She lived out her beliefs through kindness, gentleness, and a heart that cared deeply for others. Her faith shaped her values, guided her steps, and remained a constant source of comfort and purpose throughout her life.
Carol was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She offered her family a dependable presence, a warm smile, and a gentle nature that will be remembered with affection. Her last job was working in Housekeeping at Akron Children’s Hospital, after many years in production at Oak Rubber in Ravenna. Her work was done with care, consistency, and a sense of purpose that reflected her generous spirit. Carol’s joy was found in simple things, and her gentle way of living left a peaceful imprint on everyone around her.
Holding her memory close are those she is survived by: sisters, Jean Adams and Ann Climes; brothers, Thomas (Rhonda) Climes and Clifford Clines; niece, Kristen Climes; nephew, Zack Climes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary (Kleptach) Climes.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday March 9, 2026 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. The Rosary Service will be prayed at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery, Suffield.
