Andrew Muirhead Orr. Jr. passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2026, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 72. Andrew was born on September 30, 1953, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to Andrew and Peggy Orr, who preceded him in death. Andrew was a 1972 graduate of Memorial High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Before he graduated, he was a Porsche mechanic which he continued after graduation. Andrew was a man of many hats working as a mechanic, oil and gas rough neck, waiter, movie grip, scenic painter, and petroleum landman. Andrew loved Italian motorcycles, especially 1973 Ducati Sports. He had many Ducati Brothers who loved riding together in their youth. Andrew was a talented artist. He was a lover of music. Andrew never met a stranger and loved telling stories about his amazing life adventures. The light of Andrew's life was his daughter Poppy. Everyone he met heard about Poppy and was likely shown a photo or two of her. He was so proud of her. They spent hours watching Grey's Anatomy together. Even when he was sick, his eyes would twinkle when talking about Poppy. Andrew was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Muirhead Orr, III; a daughter, Kai Sarah Christine Orr; his parents, Andrew and Peggy Orr; and sister, Annette Arthur. Andrew is survived by his wife, Shelly; daughter, Poppy Orr; brother, Nelson (Mickey) Orr; brother of the heart, Howie Steele; and nieces, Natalie Arthur, Erin Arthur and Gabby Orr, and many extended family members and beloved friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Grace Communion Surrey Hills, 12201 Ashford Drive, Yukon, OK 73099. In lieu of flowers, please donate to OETA at OETA.tv.
