Andrew J. Rogissart
Andrew Joseph Rogissart passed away March 25, 2023 after a yearslong, hard and bravely fought battle with addiction. He was the beloved youngest son of Jacqueline Maillet of Binghamton, NY and David Rogissart of Plymouth, MA.
Born August 30, 1995 in New Bedford, MA, Andrew spent his childhood in New Bedford and was a 2013 graduate of the Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech metal fabrication & joining shop.
After high school, Andrew spent time serving in the United States Marine Corp, living in South Carolina, Florida, and California. Andrew also has ties to Kentucky, as he spent considerable time at the Isaiah House.
Andrew would eventually settle in Binghamton, NY where he was able to find peace & independence in the final three years of his life. Andrew was the proud Head of Manufacturing at Binghamton Hardware and HVAC, where he enjoyed putting his trade to use.
He was an avid skateboarder since childhood. He also enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and spending time with his family. Andrew was kind, respectful, gentle, and had a smile that could light up the room.
Andrew is survived by his parents, sister Nicole Souza and her husband Randy Souza, brother Christopher Rogissart, stepmother Claudia Rogissart, stepfather Paul Cienniwa, grandparents Joseph and Joanne Maillet, nieces Samantha Souza and Aria Ferreira, nephew Christopher Ferreira, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He joins grandparents Marcel and Madeline Rogissart in heaven.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, Binghamton, NY. He will be buried in the The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
