Dr. Andrew J. Santora

Dr. Andrew C. Santora, 78, of Massillon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior following a courageous battle with cancer. Andrew will always be remembered as a helping soul be it by his professions (sheriff, nurse, psychologist) or by giving of great advice and love to his family. We will always remember him fondly and try to love by his example.
Andrew served the mental health community in a variety of professional positions including as a Advanced Practice Nurse, Professional Counselor. He served his local community in Tuscarawas County by performing psychiatric evaluations for Police Department Applicants. He earned two Doctoral Degrees in Nursing and Psychiatric Counseling from the University of Akron and a Masters Degree in Forensic Science.
Andrew is survived by his loving Wife, Ethel; Daughter, Deborah (Tom) Potts; his grand children, Greg Potts, Michael Potts, Alan Scott Boyd, Rachel Boyd, Krissi Richards, Stephanie Johnston-Hendrix, Justine Hitchcock, Allie Johnston, Curtis Johnston, Ian Johnston, Shane Johnston, Seth Johnston, Evan Johnston, Grear Johnston, Tristen Johnston; 11 great-grandkids; 2 great-great grandkids; Sister, Elizabeth Parente; Brother, Vincent Robertis; Step-Sons, Edward (Christina) C. Johnston, Michael L. (Darcie) Johnston and Larry M. (Cherrie) Johnston and a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Step-Daughter, Carolyn M. Johnston-Boyd-Gibb.
