Andrew Schmidt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Funeral & Cremation Services and Cemetery - North Olmsted on Jan. 27, 2026.
Andrew David Schmidt, age 52, passed away on January 25, 2026. Born on August 6, 1973, Andrew was the beloved son of the late Ronald and Jacqueline Schmidt.

Andrew is survived by his devoted wife, Tracey Schmidt, whom he married on September 12, 1997. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. He was the proud father of Kaitlyn and Alexis, who were the joy of his life. Andrew is also survived by his brothers, Matthew and Eric; his brother in law, Erick (Tammy); and his cherished nieces and nephews, Alan, Emily, Ashley, Kodi, and Tiffany.

In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his sister, Diana, whose memory he carried close to his heart.

Andrew was a passionate Cleveland Indians fan, a loyal supporter through every season. He loved family vacations, afternoons at the park, getting lost in a good book, and discovering new foods-he was a true foodie at heart. Above all, Andrew treasured time with his family. He was a strong, resilient, and loving man who poured his whole heart into being a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.

Those who knew Andrew will remember his warmth, his humor, and the steady strength he brought into every room. His legacy lives on in the countless moments of love he shared and the family he adored.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
