Andrew P. ‘Bear’ Senchak, 74, of 7th Street, West Pittsburg, died Thursday, September 25, 2025, after an extended battle with cancer, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. He was born on April 24, 1951, in New Castle, the son of the late Andrew J. and Carmella (Arket) Senchak. Andrew married Marilyn Ann (Chill) Senchak on February 27, 1971, she survives at home. He worked for Shaw Perkins, Remacor, and Faddis Concrete as a maintenance supervisor retiring after 35 years. He was owner and operator of Errichetto Restaurant for 5 years. Andrew was the Taylor Township Tax Collect for 30 years. He enjoyed fixing things, and loved cooking for his family, especially Sunday dinner. Above all, he loved spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Suzette A. Senchak and her fiancé Michael Pustinger of New Castle, Andrew J. Senchak of Richardson, TX, Donald A. Senchak and his fiancé Dana Trout of West Pittsburg, and Benjamin J. Senchak and his wife Jennifer of New Castle, seven grandchildren, Kierstyn Ippolito, Tarkey Ippolito, Autumn Pustinger, Tessa Senchak, Nico Senchak, Talia Senchak, and Luciana Senchak, and two brothers, Gerald Senchak, and his twin brother, Anthony Senchak.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Senchak and Daniel ‘Shorty’ Senchak.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vitus Church. Father Aaron Kriss will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
