Andrew Thomas "Andy" Sturm

Andrew Thomas "Andy" Sturm, age 39, of Gillett, Wisconsin, passed away on November 21, 2025.

Andy was born June 10, 1986, in Shawano. He lived a life defined by deep passion, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to the people he loved, especially his children.

Andy was the beloved son of Thomas and Susan Sturm, and a cherished brother to Benjamin. He was a devoted father to his three children-Alastair, Caius, and Annika-who were the center of his world and the source of his greatest pride. His love for them was unmistakable in every aspect of his life.

A gifted and passionate musician, Andy left an indelible mark on the local music scene. Whether performing at open mic nights or collaborating with fellow artists, he brought authenticity, heart, and a contagious enthusiasm to every stage he stepped onto. His creativity extended beyond music into the world of theater, where he acted in numerous community plays, bringing characters to life with warmth, humor, and depth.

Andy also took great pride in his work as a substitute teacher. He approached each classroom with patience, sincerity, and a genuine desire to help students grow. His ability to connect with people-young and old-was one of his greatest strengths.

He will be remembered for his fierce passion, his boundless creativity, and the way he made others feel seen, supported, and inspired. Andy's presence lit up every room he entered, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him.

A memorial service to honor the life of a man whose spirit, artistry, and love that will endure in the hearts of those he touched will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Mickelson Funeral and Cremation Service in Shawano. Richard Menning will officiate. Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 am and continue until the time of service.
