Andrew Tatsch Obituary

Andrew Tatsch was taken by the angels peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 87, to be with our heavenly father where he was reunited with his father, mother and brother.

Andrew was born on September 19, 1937, in Harper, Texas. His family lived in Crabapple, Texas, went to country schools, and showed livestock at events and stock shows.

In 1951, his steer was awarded Grand Champion at the San Antonio Stock Show. At the age of 13, with his winnings, Andrew bought a farm in Albert, Texas where he began his new legacy. He graduated from Fredericksburg High School, then proudly joined the U.S. Air Force while his parents moved to the farm.

After the Air Force, he settled in Fort Worth and returned to the farm to care for his mother after his father's passing.

Andrew was a happy, fun-loving guy, loving father and grandfather. He was hardworking, and always willing to lend a hand to a friend or neighbor. He was well known and loved by the community.

Andrew spent his last many years and passed on his farm, happy, doing what he loved, in the place he loved most.

Other things he truly enjoyed were fishing, hunting, helping friends and neighbors, rodeos, festivals, and laughing with friends. Let's not forget his love of dancing and listening to live music at his favorite Albert Icehouse.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Arwin and Anita Tatsch, and brother, Elmer Tatsch.

Andrew is survived by his son and daughter, Michael Tatsch and Jennifer Kercheval; granddaughter, Selina Davis, and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ethan and Bryson Davis, as well as his long-term partner, Jan Wigginton, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Andrew was laid to rest on July 11, 2025, at the Stonewall Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Andrew's honor to local Veteran's Administration, Stonewall Chamber of Commerce, Meals on Wheels, Enchanted Rock Rehabilitation, The Good Samaritan Center, and Hospice Care.
