Andrew Jackson "Jack" Teel, 91, of New Castle, passed away Monday May 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 5, 1932, in Charleston, WV to the late Elmer & Julia (Eatons) Teel.
He retired from the City of New Castle after 25 years of service in 1994.
Jack is survived by his children;Julie Teel, James (Kathy) Teel, Ricky Teel & Della Teel: two grandsons that he helped raise; Andrew (Kara)Teel & Robert Williams: five grandchildren; Kimberly Richards, Cindy (Robert) Dillingham, Nikki (John) Carter, Floyd (Jennifer) Richards, and James (Paige) Teel: several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter: sister Lesta "Mae" Abshire: special friends Marshall & Betty Ferre, Mike Godfrey, Mike Downey, Sandy Perry & Patricia Vanderpool, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents listed above, his wife of 54 years Mary Louise Teel: daughters; Vicky Williams and Helen Sue Teel
The family would like to thank Henry County Hospice, especially, Tina, Beth, Crystal, Sandy and Chaplain Mark.
A visitation for Jack will be on Monday May 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 Broad St in New Castle. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at the funeral home on Tuesday May 21, 2024. A burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens.
