Andrew David Whitlatch came into this world on March 21, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of David Whitlatch, a U.S Army veteran, and Olga Whitlatch, a CFO originally from Ukraine.
Tragically, Andrew's life ended suddenly on September 19, 2024, in Burke, Virginia. Although his life was short, it burned bright like a comet making a lasting impact on all those who knew him.
A talented writer and gifted conversationalist, Andrew was a good and loyal friend to many. He was a member of Word of Hope Church in Silver Spring, MD, for several years and most enjoyed hiking in his native Utah, where he longed to return.
A remembrance of Andrew's life will be held at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna, VA on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 2-4 p.m., followed immediately by a reception at his family's home in McLean, VA. His service will be officiated by Pastor Brian Kingrea.
Andrew is survived by both grandmothers, Gail Whitlatch and Tamara Rudolph, his mother Olga Whitlatch Newberry and stepfather, James Newberry, a sister, Summer Whitlatch, an uncle, Volodymyr Kleban, countless friends, and Nixie, a playful silver lab.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends a contribution to United Help Ukraine, a cause dear to Andrew's heart.

You were an amazing friend. Loyal honest caring. You went out of your way to help others. You were friendly, funny, understanding, sympathetic. I'll miss the times we shared during high-school. I'm sorry life hit you hard brother. I remember you drove me home when I was drunk that one time. I will be forever grateful. We will meet again another day. Miss you.
