Linda Whitlatch, 83, of Knoxville, entered into the presence of the lord on June 16, 2025. A graveside service for Linda will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dallas Cemetery in Melcher-Dallas. A celebration of life will be held following the service at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marion County Humane society in care of the Pierschbacher Funeral Home, 110 Harlan St Knoxville, Iowa 50138.
Born on March 2,1942, Linda was the beloved daughter of Edwin and Lela (Pinegar) Wallace. She graduated from Melcher Dallas high school in 1960. In August of 1962 Linda married the love of her life George Whitlatch. The couple shared many loving years together with their daughter Heather. George unfortunately passed away in 1991 leaving Linda and Heather behind with many loving memories.
Linda worked various jobs, mostly secretarial, throughout the years. Her last position ended in retirement from the Knoxville VA.
Linda had a passion for flower gardens and animals. She was known for her generous spirit and was a supporter of the Knoxville Humane Society. She also loved thrift shopping and collecting antiques.
In 2007, Linda relocated from Melcher Dallas to Knoxville to be closer to family. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community.
Remembering Linda is her daughter Heather(Dan) Wooldridge; Grandchildren: Hannah Wooldridge, Matthew Wooldridge, and Ben(Breta) Wooldridge. Great grandchildren, Beau and Brynlee. Brother Gary Wallace, and many other relatives and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Lela Wallace and her husband of 29 years, George.
