Teri Harvey

Teri Lynne Harvey, of Lacona, Iowa, passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 71. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Born on September 17, 1954, in San Francisco, California, to Red Shaha and Arlene Phipps, Teri was raised in a loving foster family with whom she remained close throughout her life. She grew up in Rosedale Township and St. Paul, Minnesota, where she spent her early years. She was married to Ricky Warren Harvey in 1975; they were blessed with a son, Ricky J. Harvey.

Terri moved to Indianola before settling in Lacona, where she spent the past 30 years. Teri worked for Herschel's in Indianola for several years as a press operator and supervisor; and later at Walmart, where she dedicated 18 years before retiring in 2020.

Teri had a deep love for flowers and plants, and she found great joy in yard work and caring for her home. She also enjoyed classic cars, especially Monte Carlos, Ford Falcons, and Ford LTDs. She was a devoted animal lover, always sharing her life with beloved pets, especially her two Shih Tzus and her cats.

Teri is survived by her son, Ricky J. Harvey (Shannon); and her cherished grandchildren, Ricky Harvey Jr. and Landon Harvey. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
