Andrew Jason Zent, 34, passed away on September 12th, 2024, in Austin, Texas, leaving behind a world that is quieter but filled with memories of his kindness, laughter, and the music that he loved.
Born on July 27th, 1990, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Lee and Michelle, Andrew brought joy to everyone around him with a heart as big as the Wyoming sky, a talent for making others smile, and an incredible beard that could only be described as legendary.
Graduating as the valedictorian from Media Tech Institute with a degree in Recording and Audio Engineering in 2018, Andrew was always destined to lead a life in the world of music. In 2021, he found his happy place at the School of Rock in Round Rock, where his love of music and teaching collided in perfect harmony. He climbed the ranks to become the General Manager, a job that let him inspire budding musicians while staying true to his passion.
Andrew shared a home filled with love, laughter, and probably a few too many plants with his partner, Joey, in Austin.
He is survived by his parents, Lee and Michelle, who always believed in his boundless potential, his sister, Amanda, who could always count on him for a last minute lunch date; his brother-in-law, Pedro; his grandmother, Patricia, who he called just to make her day; his grandfather, Robert; nine aunts, seven uncles, and a staggering 32 cousins, all of who adored his warmth and one-of-a-kind hugs.
Family was the cornerstone of Andrew's life. Known for giving the BEST hugs and being a gentle soul, he had a way of making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room. His grandma held a special place in his heart, and their phone calls were filled with laughter and love.
Andrew had a quirky love for strange condiments (the weirder, the better), and no one quite understood his obsession with that oddly specific Starbucks drink order. When he wasn't immersed in his music, you could find him enjoying nature, spending time with loved ones and friends, or indulging in his self-declared "Ice Cream Fridays", a tradition he took very seriously.
Andrew's musical brain could tune any beat-up radio to sound brand new. He was the rare mix of talent and humility, and had a way of making everyone feel special, especially the kids at School of Rock. There, he found his true calling, guiding young musicians and watching with pride as they took the stage at weekend shows.
Andrew left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and his love for life, music, and people will be deeply missed. Though he's gone, his laughter, warmth, and his music will echo on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Dear Michelle and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Andrew. You and your family are in my prayers.
" Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."

Father God, I asked for you to touch this family and bring comfort to them. Give them the strength to face each day. May they feel your mighty presence as you guide them. I thank you for Andrew and what he means to this family. In Jesus name I pray this. Amen.

God Bless,
Loretta Davis

Andrew stayed with me when he was young and he had a shoulder injury that I wasn't aware of and we took him to Splash Town and he had a blast! Thank goodness his shoulder was not hurt, he had a blast!!

I remember spending every chance I could with Andrew and Abby in high school. He always made me feel loved and he definitely helped me get through the tough times in high school! My favorite memory was our lake house in Livingston for prom. We had such an amazing time! Love you always Andrew!

Andrew´s grandmother Pat is my dad´s little sister and my aunt. The entire Sheahan clan gathered in Kansas in 2008 to celebrate the "Sheahantennial" of our family farm. Each family unit was to supply entertainment for the "talent show", a and while we were in our corners practicing, I heard the sweet and confident voice and guitar that turned out to be Andrew. I only wish there´d been more time to "jam" that weekend. What a gifted young man...who shared his gifts with such generosity. Godspeed, young Andrew.
