I will always remember Andrzej as the nicest and caring person in the world.
I will really miss our talks about anything and everything, and his unforgettable smile
He left us too soon
My deepest condolences to the family.

One of our fondest memory of Andrzej took place several years ago on New Years Eve.
My husband Rick & had dinner plans near Aneta and Andrzej´s home. They invited us to stop by for dessert and coffee.
Andrzej was so excited to use his new fancy cappuccino maker. It was quite obvious that his eagerness to provide a perfect cup of coffee resembled a science project. We discussed his search for the perfect bean, the proper roaster, the appropriate brewing temperature and type of water. Needless to say, the product was superb however, Andrzej continued his quest to create an even better brew.
He was passionate in all his endeavors.
We will miss his zest for life, his child like inquisitive smile, our discussions on numerous topics and his ability to make us feel special. Andrzej will always hold a dear spot in our hearts.
Your friends,
Marla & Rick

Andrzej was an extraordinary scientist and mentor, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have had him in my life. I was his first PhD student, and I knew nothing about quantum chemistry. Andrzej mentored me on a project, and his passion for the subject was so infectious that I soon became his dedicated student.
His dedication to his students and his enthusiasm for his field were truly inspiring. But above all, I treasure the moments of joy and camaraderie we shared. Some of my fondest memories are of our daily mid-afternoon tea breaks, sitting by the pond to watch the turtles and discuss life, and learning Polish phrases while we analyzed data.
Andrzej had a unique way of using catchphrases to guide and motivate me. He´d say, "Think the bananas through the banana trees" whenever I started to lose sight of the big picture, reminding me to focus on what mattered. He´d also encourage me to be meticulous in my work by saying, "Bonnie, be like a little detective" as I analyzed my calculations.
I owe so much to Andrzej. His guidance and support were pivotal to my success and career. I hope he would be proud of what I´ve achieved. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, including mine.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Bonnie

Andrzej loved his work so much that he thought it annoying to stop and eat! He was a caring person & professor. He will be missed.
